Rishi Sunak elected Prime Minister of Great Britain

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak has been elected as the new Prime Minister of Great Britain, ARMENPRESS reports, citing "RIA Novosti", member of the Conservative Party Graham Brady announced.

"I can confirm that we received only one nomination that had power. And so, Rishi Sunak was elected leader of the Conservative Party," said the politician.

Sunak became the only candidate for the post after House of Commons leader Penny Mordaunt announced she was withdrawing her candidacy.
