Armenian, Georgian defense ministries reach agreements on cooperation

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Within the framework of cooperation in the field of social protection of servicemen, the delegation of the Georgian Defense Ministry’s Department of Social Affairs and Psychological Support visited Armenia October 19-20.

Armenian Ministry of Defense Director of the Department of Social Protection of Servicemen Alexander Avetisyan received the delegation. The Georgian delegation was briefed on the privileges and guarantees system designed for servicemen and their families by Armenian legislation and the government’s programs in this direction. Other issues related to social protection of servicemen were also discussed.

Agreements were reached regarding future cooperation in directions of mutual interest.

The Georgian delegation also had meetings in the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
