USA ready to engage in multilateral and bilateral negotiations – Congressman

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 18, ARMENPRESS. David Price, Chairman of the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) of the US House of Representatives, assures that the United States has tried to make sure that the US support to Azerbaijan is never used for offensive purposes against Armenia, ARMENPRESS reports Price stated at the press conference held in the National Assembly of Armenia that the USA is ready to engage in multilateral and bilateral negotiations.

"We take the role of our Co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group seriously and do not want any party to assume a pre-determined role, on the contrary, we support the peace that is based on the values of the people living in the region," he said.

Referring to the question of what kind of military cooperation there can be between Armenia and the USA, David Price said: "I don't have any specific statement about it today, but Speaker Pelosi made a very clear reference. It is obvious that the balance in the region is changing, taking into account the developments related to Russia. Perhaps, some forces are no longer as radical as they used to be. And there will certainly be changes. At the moment, discussions are taking place, in particular, about what relations will develop, including in the security domain. These discussions are quite intense."
