Construction of new metro station in Yerevan expected to begin in 2024

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The construction of the new Ajapnyak station of the Yerevan metro will start in 2024, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the Cabinet meeting.

“I’d like to remind that we had announced a tender and the process of constructing the new metro station in the Ajapnyak district is ongoing. The blueprinting is in process,” he said, adding that the construction tender will be announced in late 2023 after the blueprints are ready. "We must record that we’ve made a clear decision and we must go in this direction. I don’t see any obstacles, I hope the timeframes won’t be breached and in 2024 we will launch the construction,” the PM said.
