Representative of Armenia’s Migration Service participates in international conference in Istanbul

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Public Relations Coordinator at the Migration Service of Armenia Nelly Davtyan participated in a two-day conference in Istanbul, organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Migration Service told Armenpress.

The conference was dedicated to the capacity development in the field of migration data and research and directed to the countries of South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia region (SEEECA).

The UN specialists presented the opportunities and methodology of collecting and developing all possible data relating to migration processes. Issues existing in the field of collecting comparative data in the region were also voiced. The possibilities of harmonizing the migration statistics in the region were discussed.
