Pashinyan elaborates on offer to deploy international monitoring mission on border with Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. When speaking about the offer to deploy an international monitoring mission on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, Armenia means a permanent or long-term monitoring mission mechanism which, among others, would have the highly important goal of conveying unbiased information to relevant international organizations, from which actions would stem, PM Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Public Television.

“Azerbaijan never admits violating the ceasefire. They always try to misrepresent that some provocations took place. Naturally, we debunk these unfounded accusations with all possible methods, but on the other hand we are saying that because this is a continuing situation it would be right for the international community to have a monitoring mission to assess the situation on the ground,” Pashinyan said.
