FM presents Armenia’s position on NK conflict settlement to President of International Crisis Group

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met on September 21 with President and CEO of the International Crisis Group Comfort Ero in New York, the Foreign Ministry said.

A number of issues relating to regional and international security were discussed during the meeting.

FM Mirzoyan presented the position of the Armenian side on the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The FM drew the attention of the President of the International Crisis Group to the latest aggression unleashed by the Azerbaijani armed forces against Armenia’s sovereign territory. He said that Azerbaijan is attempting to achieve its expansionist demands and aspirations with the use of force and the threat of using force, which, he stated, torpedoes the stability and security of the region. The importance of an impartial and addressed response by the international organizations was emphasized.
