In order to heal open wounds world must acknowledge the Armenian Genocide - US House Speaker 

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi highlighted the necessity of the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the world during her remarks at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan.

She said that during their visit in Armenia she and her delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to the victims.

“It was emotional. We learned horrific truths atthe Museum”, she said. “In order to heal the open wounds, the world must acknowledge that the crimes for which it was genocide”, she said, adding that their efforts should continue in this direction in order to prevent similar crimes. “We must never forget".
