Letter of Armenia’s Permanent Representative in September 15th agenda of UN Security Council

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 15, ARMENPERSS. The discussion of the issue relating to Armenia is included in the September 15th agenda of the UN Security Council based on the letter of Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN.

The Permanent Representative of Armenia to theUN has addressed a letter to the UN Security Council President on September 13 when Azerbaijan launched a major military attack on Armenia’s sovereign territory.

The September 15th agenda of the UN Security Council includes the following topics: “Threats to international peace and security”, “Protection of civilians in armed conflict”.

On September 13, starting at 00:05, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a major military attack in several directions against Armenia, primarily using artillery and UAVs. 105 Armenian troops were killed and 6 civilians were wounded in the Azerbaijani attack.

On September 14 Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said that ceasefire has been reached thanks to the involvement of the international community.
