Armenia applies to ECHR requesting to protect rights of POWs seen in videos spread by Azerbaijan 

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Representative on international legal matters Yeghishe Kirakosyan has applied to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) requesting to apply interim measures against Azerbaijan.

“Videos are being spread on the internet since yesterday showing Armenian prisoners of war who are actually under the control of Azerbaijani servicemen.

In addition to our yesterday’s request to apply interim measures against Azerbaijan, we also submitted an additional request to the European Court to apply an interim measure for protecting the fundamental rights of the servicemen seen in the videos”, Yeghishe Kirakosyan said in a statement on social media.
