STEPANAKERT, APRIL 7, ARMENPRESS. The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs – James Warlick of the United States, Igor Popov of Russia and Pierre Andrieu of France discussed with the leadership of Karabakh steps necessary for stabilizing the situation on Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line. Reporter of “Armenpress” informs from Stepanakert that Russian Co-chair Popov told the journalists about this.

“We were in Baku yesterday, met with the leadership of Azerbaijan, and discussed steps necessary for stabilizing the situation in the conflict zone. We discussed the same issue with the leadership and military commanders of Nagorno Karabakh”, Popov said.

The Russian Co-chair informed that they will meet with the representatives of International Committee of the Red Cross in Stepanakert. “Afterwards we will leave for Yerevan, where we will meet with the President, Defense and Foreign Ministers of Armenia”, Igor Popov informed.

Ambassador Popov did not answer any other question, stating that their visit is not finished yet and he has nothing more to inform.

On Saturday, April 9, the Co-chairs will deliver a press conference where they will answer all the questions.
