YEREVAN, JULY 9, ARMENPRESS: The International Conference “Cultural Policy and Policy for Culture” will be held in Yerevan on July 11-13, devoted to the 70th anniversary of establishment of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that delegates from 45 countries and international organizations will take part in the conference.

The conference will be attended by UNESCO, EU and various countries’ culture ministers, deputy ministers, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, accredited in Armenia, representatives of cultural centers in foreign countries, sector experts and representatives of ministries and NGOs from Armenia.     

The Conference intends to elaborate relevant recommendations for the updating cultural policies, taking into account the UNESCO standard-setting instruments and an integrated approach to cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and sustainable development, while reinforcing institutional, including legislative capacities and those of policy-makers and culture professionals with a view to developing the arts education and integrating culture into all other development policies.
