EBRD to continue funding Armenia regardless of country's accession to EEU

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will not stop funding Armenia irrespective of Armenia’s affiliation to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), EBRDFinancial Institutions'Directorfor Central Asia, Caucasus and Mongolia,Mike Taylor stated at a conference on trade funding.

He noted that the programs implemented with Armenia over the years have given positive results and the bank has trustworthy partners here. “Irrespective of the kind of developments, we remain committed to Armenia and our partners in Armenia and especially to the banks that have deserved our trust and we will continue our cooperation with them,” he assured.

Armenia joined the EBRD on December 7, 1992, and has a share of 10 million Euros in the EBRD capital. The main fields of cooperation with the EBRD are energy, transportation, financial sector.
