Turkey follows Armenian Genocide events preparations

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS: The newly-elected Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that the official Ankara follows the preparations of Armenia held for the 100thanniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Armenpress reports that the Turkish Haberler.com informed about it.
The Head of the Turkey’s Foreign Affairs agency put forward the idea of the Turkish propaganda machine that the history should not be mixed with the politics. He reminded how years ago Erdogan suggested the President of Armenia establishing a joint historic commission “to study the events”, which, unfortunately, was refused by the Armenian side. Çavuşoğlu accused Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora of “the implementation of different initiatives with the mediation of the third countries”.
Especially the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey expressed his discontent on the occasion that time to time the issue of the Armenian Genocide is discussed in the domestic and the international parliaments. Keeping up with his former partners, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also expressed his wish “to leave the issue to the historians”.
