Armenia's agreement with Russia does not limit cheaper gas import from other countries: Energy Minister

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The agreement signed between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation “On Selling Shares of “ArmRosGazprom” CJSC and Terms for Further Activities” does not limit import of cheaper gas from other countries to Armenia. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Armen Movsisyan stated this at the course of the extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia held on December 20. Minister Movsisyan stated this responding the question addressed by the Deputy from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation – Dashnaktsutyun Aghvan Vardanyan. As reports “Armenpress”, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Armen Movsisyan underscored: “The agreement does not limit the import of gas on cheaper tariffs from other countries to Armenia.” In addition the Minister noted that in this respect there is no problem for the Armenian side.
