Garni to become more attractive for tourists

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: 90 meters from Garni historical and cultural museum-reserve a café will be open its doors before the visitors. It will be placed in May 2014. During the press conference on December 13 the Director of the Service for the protection of historical environment and cultural museum reservations Vladimir Poghosyan stated that in 2009 the scientific and methodological council of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia gave a positive conclusion to the placement of a season café in the territory of Garni historical and cultural museum-reserve.
“The café will be portable and will be mounted with metal clips, so no new construction will be carried out on the territory of the museum-reserve”, - said Poghosyan. According to him, since 2009 night artistic lighting functions on the territory of the reserve, but in the evenings the number of the visitors is not so big. Meanwhile the existence of the café will create an opportunity to hold different events on the territory of the museum.
