I left a souvenir in Artsakh: Plácido Domingo Jr.

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS: Mexican composer and singer Plácido Domingo Jr. performed three unforgettable concerts in Yerevan and Stepanakert. Having lived with us for several days, Plácido managed to love the Armenians, Armenia and Artsakh. He promised to return to our country again. Plácido had a talk with the Armenpress correspondent.
- Mr. Domingo, you performed concerts in Yerevan and Karabakh. Will you come to our country again if you are invited?
- Certainly, I will return to Armenia with great pleasure not only to sing but also just to visit Armenia. I think Armenia is a very beautiful country. I have been in many countries of the world, but your city, the people and the atmosphere were something I like very much and I like very much being here.
- On November 21 you performed with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia. How would you evaluate your cooperation with the musicians and the conductor Sergey Smbatyan?
- I think, the musicians were playing fantastically. Concerning maestro Sergey, he is a very talented and a marvelous young man.
- We know that you have left a part of you in Artsakh: you planted a tree there.
- Yes, I planted a tree in the Peace Tree Valley. Thus I have left a souvenir in Artsakh. I think, it is a very pleasant thing to be a part of something, which will flourish for years. It was very exciting. (THE FULL VERSION OF THE INTERVIEW IS AVAILABLE IN ARMENIAN)
