CSTO aware of Armenia’s all security issues: CSTO official

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS. Russia’s position is to do everything possible to protect all the member-states of the CSTO from challenges. The Head of the CSTO Standing Committee on Defense and Security Anatoly Viborny stated this at the course of the press conference held after the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which was held in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

Among other things the Head of the CSTO Standing Committee on Defense and Security Anatoly Viborny was asked if Azerbaijan’s arming is not a threat against Armenia’s security. In this respect the CSTO official emphasized: “We shall hold separate discussion regarding that issue. We see all the problems Armenia has to face with. We shall continue discussions with the Ministers of Defense and Emergency Situations and pay visits to the relevant divisions. We shall thoroughly study that issue.”

“The fact that we are conducting this session on the territory of the Armenia today demonstrates already that we are really concerned by the developments in this region. Russia is doing everything possible to prevent threats by any country,” Viborny noted.
