Armenia cannot compromise its security problem: Tigran Sargsyan

BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. The delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, vice-chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan participated in the summit of European People's Party in Brussels. Armenpress was reported from the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, that welcoming the participants, Tigran Sargsyan recorded upon the foreign policy of the Republic of Armenia, the relationship between Armenia-Customs Union and the Republic of Armenia-Russian Federation.

"For centuries our way to Europe has not been easy. Being situated in the crossroads of civilizations and empires, Armenia dealt with complex challenges and constantly had to solve serious problems related to security. Sometimes we have quickly overcome those challenges, but sometimes centuries were needed to neutralize,” the Prime Minister pointed out.

According to him, the membership with the European People's Party is the cornerstone of our strategy towards the deepening our cooperation with Europe. “We are committed to continuing our close cooperation with Europe not contradicting it with the Customs Union. We try to have wide and comprehensive relations with Europe. Our desire relates to all the directions of cooperation: state construction, efficient governance and democracy, judicial reforms and fight against corruption, economic and commercial activity, security, military issues, culture , education and so on,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan said.
