Armenian President approved energy security concept

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 23, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan signed the decree on the energy security concept. The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenpress that the decree says in particular: “Guided by the 56th article of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and based on the proposal made at the session of the National Competitiveness Council on September 5 2013, I decide to:

1. Approve the concept of the energy security of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with the Appendix.
2. Instruct the Government of the Republic of Armenia in six months to develop and approve the program schedule of the events to be held in 2014-2020 providing for the energy security concept.
3. Instruct the staff of the National Competitiveness Council to present to the President of the Republic of Armenia detailed information about the implementation of the energy security concept and program schedule of the events to be held in 2014-2020 providing for the energy security concept”.
