YEREVAN, MARCH 25, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan paid a working visit to Tbilisi and had a meeting with the representatives of the Armenian community in Georgia in "Hayartun" centre of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church on March 22. The Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan also attended the meeting. The Press Service of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church informed "Armenpress" that the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan highly appreciated the meetings and discussions with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II and heads of other structures as well.

Among other things Hasmik Poghosyan laid a heavy emphasis on the great desire of the both sides to cooperate in the whole spheres of culture and underlined that the three year program of cooperation, which was signed between the Ministers of Culture of the two countries yet in January in Yerevan, concerns all the spheres, even the reconstruction of the Armenian churches.

In the end of the meeting the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian introduced the activity of "Hayartun" cultural centre and told about a number of events held jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia.
