"Shirak" targets to remain Armenia's cup winner

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS. The main aim of Armenia's incumbent football cup winner "Shirak" of Gyumri is to keep the cup and become Armenia’s champion. The coach of the team Vardan Bichakhchyan said about this in an interview with "Armenpress". He noted that the main emphasis of the training held in Antalya was on the upcoming games.

"Friendly games gave us a chance to understand how we will start in the tournament and Armenia's cup. We will do our best to use this chance," Bichakhchyan said.

Armenia's football cup matches start on March 3. "Shirak" will pass with "Ararat" of Armenia the first meeting of the quarterfinals.
