Movies on conflict, conciliation, and courage to be displayed in Armenia

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. The first movie to be displayed within the framework of "Conflict and Reconciliation in the Central-Eastern European Cinema" film-festival is "Three Stories of Galicia". It will be displayed in the blue hall of "Moscow" Cinema Theatre on February 13.
The Press Service of the film Festival informed "Armenpress" that nine award-winning films produced by prominent film-makers from Europe and the USA will be introduced in Yerevan from February 13 to April 10, 2013. The movies are dedicated to the sensitive issues of conflict, reconciliation, human bravery, and compassion.
The aim of the film festival is to introduce to the Armenian public and youth in particular the lessons of the conflicts and reconciliation in Central-Eastern Europe depicted via the art of cinematography.
The UN Permanent Coordinator Henriette Ahrens stated that many of these films are shown for the first time in Armenia and they are featuring touching human stories. Their examples can help us build a better world today. Due to the assistance of the "Moscow" Cinema Theatre Administration the entrance is free of charge and the Festival is open to everyone.
The Film Festival became possible due to the joint efforts of the UN Office in Armenia, Embassies of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Ukraine.
