Heart coronary catheterization and stents were for the first time implemented in Gyumri

YEREVAN, JANUARY 25, ARMENPRESS: Heart coronary catheterization and stents were for the first time used in Gyumri on January 25. Heart cath equipment of “Gyumri medical center”, which gives opportunity to examine heart vessels and use stents, was first exploited by specialists of “Nork-Marash” medical center in Yerevan.

Formerly region had neither similar examination opportunities nor the needed equipment. Medical center was provided with such equipment on the suggestion of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. As Armenpress reporter was informed from Director of “Gyumri medical center” Armen Isakahyan, formerly because of the lack of such equipment many patients didn’t even manage to come to Yerevan.

Before exploitation of the equipment, specialists of Gyumri will have trainings in Yerevan.
