YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan met with the Minister of Culture of Lebanon Gaby Layoun and mayor of Beirut Bilal Hamad. The details of bilateral cultural programs and the prospects of the cooperation of Yerevan and Beirut sister cities were discussed during the meeting, Press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Armenpress.

Ambassador Kocharyan conveyed to the Minister Layoun and Beirut city mayor official invitation of the Armenian side to take part in the events dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Armenian Typography and declaration of Yerevan as World Capital of Book 2012.

Ashot Kocharyan added that Armenia intends to hold days of Armenian Culture in Lebanon in fall 2012 which will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral cultural ties. The possibility of organization of annual Armenian music festival in Lebanon was also discussed.
