Armenia’s Labor and Social Affairs Minister presents U.S. Ambassador with reforms in children’s rights protection
YEREVAN, 6 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. On March 6, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Artem Asatryan received newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the minister congratulated the Ambassador on starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia, wished him success and voiced hope that the partnership established with the U.S. government and particularly the embassy would become more effective.
Ambassador Richard Mills expressed gratitude for the cordial reception, praised the reforms that had been made in the pension sector over the past years and asked about the activities being carried out.
During the meeting, Minister Artem Asatryan talked about the reforms in children’s rights protection, the alternative social services and touched upon the introduction of an integrated system of social services.
