Details of former Yerevan Police Chief’s death available

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Former Police Chief of Yerevan Ashot Karapetyan died in Russian city Pyatigorsk as a result of an explosion that took place in a private beer factory, ARMENPRESS reports “Interfax” reports.

The press service of Stavropol Region investigative Committee confirmed Karapetyan’s death.

The explosion took place on November 28 at 6:40 as a result of violation of the technological process.

A criminal case has been initiated. Pyatigorsk authorities informed that the factory had no gas connection permit.

Ashot Karapetyan was born in 1970.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia informed that another Armenian citizen has died as a result of the explosion.
