Greece will ratify Armenia-EU CEPA in one or two months – President Sarkissian

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. President of Greece Procopios Pavlopolos, who is in Armenia on an official visit, told President Armen Sarkissian that the Greek side will ratify the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in one or two months, the Armenian President said during a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart in Yerevan.

“I want to thank my counterpart for affirming that the Greek side will accelerate the ratification process of the CEPA in the near future and will ratify it in the coming one-two months”, Sarkissian said.

Armenia and the European Union signed the CEPA on November 24, 2017 in Brussels. So far, the Agreement has been ratified by Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Finland and the United Kingdom.

President of Greece Procopios Pavlopolos together with spouse Vlassia Pavlopoulou arrived in Armenia on an official visit on November 5 at the invitation of President Sarkissian.
