YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. The Government of Armenia is expecting certain economic activity and change in the social condition as a result of the Tax Code amendments, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told lawmakers at parliamentary committee debates of the 2020 draft budget.

“As you know the Tax Code amendments will come into force entirely from January 1, 2020. In terms of the social part it is important to note that as a result of the Tax Code amendments salaries of approximately 200 thousand citizens will be raised. This won’t be a nominal raise of salaries, but rather because we have defined a flat tax rate of income in the Tax Code, basically the salaries of approximately 200 thousand people, the factually disposable volume of money, will increase due to these amendments,” he said.
