YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, who is in Italy on a working visit, had a working breakfast with Alessandro Profumo, the Chief Executive Officer of Leonardo S.p.A., one of the world’s leading technological companies, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.

Leonardo S.p.A. is the partner of the Cybertech international conference on cyber-security launched today in Rome.

President Armen Sarkissian said Leonardo S.p.A. can successfully cooperate with Armenia in the fields of cyber-security, artificial intelligence, noting that Armenia has a great development potential in these areas.

An interesting discussion took place focusing on the cooperation in education and high technologies. The meeting focused on one of the Armenian presidential initiatives – Advanced Tomorrow (ATOM) aimed at development of science and technologies in Armenia. Within the frames of this project it is expected to create a city of science and technologies representing leading international technological companies and organizations, research centers and universities. It was stated that Leonardo S.p.A. also can be an interesting partner for this project. An agreement was reached to implement joint scientific-research and educational programs and continue the discussions.
