New Armenia ready to propose new ideas to enrich cooperation with EU - PM

BRUSSELS, MARCH 5, ARMENPRESS. During their meeting in Brussels Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the European Council Donald Tusk touched upon the recent snap parliamentary elections in Armenia, which, according to the PM, have been definitely assessed by the international community as in full accordance with the best European practice, reports Armenpress.

After the meeting PM Pashinyan stated that there was an unprecedented public trust in Armenia towards these elections.

“In this context we also highly value the EU’s support to successfully organizing the election processes. Of course, the recent dynamic political changes in our country, as well as our democratic elections made Armenia and the EU closer in terms of our dedication to common values. I am proud of the fact that democracy is no longer under danger in Armenia”, Nikol Pashinyan said.

He said new Armenia is ready to make continuous efforts, propose new ideas and initiatives to enrich the cooperation with the EU and its member states.

“I am happy that our European friends and partners have such an approach and vision on our bilateral agenda”, he added.

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan is in Belgium on a working visit.
