Armenian FM meets Greek counterpart in Athens

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian had a private meeting with foreign minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias during his official visit to Athens, the foreign ministry told Armenpress.

After the meeting the Armenian FM delivered speech at the conference hall of the Greek foreign ministry talking about Armenia’s foreign policy, international and regional urget issues and Armenia’s approaches on their solution ways.

FM Nalbandian’s lecture was attended by the leadership of the Greek foreign ministry, ambassadors, renowned scientists, political scientists, analysts and reporters.

In his speech the Armenian FM touched upon the Armenian-Greek centuries-old relations, the achievements recorded over the past 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Greece.

He also touched upon the Armenia-EU expanding relations in the context of the new agreement signed on November 24 in Brussels.

FM Nalbandian highlighted Armenia’s leading role in international efforts on preventing the crimes against humanity.

The FM’s speech also focused on the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries aimed at peacefully settling the Karabakh conflict, as well as the recent developments over the conflict settlement.

After the speech the Armenian FM answered to questions of the participants.
