YEREVAN, DECEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian became the laureate of “The Commonwealth Star” among the cultural, scientific and educational figures of the CIS states, RIA Novosti reports.

The awarding ceremony was held in Moscow on December 11 during the Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS participating states.

“The Commonwealth Star” Prize is awarded since 2009 for the significant achievements in art, science and education. It has been founded by the CIS Humanitarian Cooperation Council and the CIS Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCCO).
