President of Tajikistan assesses negotiations as most constructive means to reach NK conflict
settlement

YEREVAN, JUNE 14, ARMENPRESS. Negotiations are the most constructive means to reach Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon told the reporters after meeting with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. “When we were discussing regional issues we exchanged ideas over the issue of Afghanistan and expressed concern over the aggravation of developments in some regional countries.  Based on our peacekeeping experience we express our solidarity with the peaceful principles of conflict settlement in the framework of universal international norms. To our conviction negotiations are the most constructive means for the settlement of a complicated conflict like Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, “Armenpress” reports Emomali Rahmon saying.

The President of Tajikistan added that he exchanged views on a number of issues of international agenda with the Armenian President. “We were focused on strengthening regional stability and security”, he said, adding that the sides expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in the fight against global challenges, terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime and other forms of crime.
