EU Council adopts regulation on visa liberalization for Ukrainian citizens

YEREVAN, MAY 11, ARMENPRESS. The European Council on May 11 adopted a regulation on visa liberalization for Ukrainian citizens travelling to the EU for a period of stay of 90 days in any 180-day period, the EU Council said.

“The regulation is adopted”, the Council told RIA Novosti. At the same time the EU said it will suspend this process if migration and security-related issues emerge.

The next step is the signing of the EU’s adopted regulation on May 15. The text will then be published in the EU Official Journal and will enter into force 20 days later.

It is supposed the visa-free regime will enter into force on June 11.
