YEREVAN, MAY 2, ARMENPRESS. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin says he expects to discuss the most urgent issues, in particular Ukraine and Syria, at a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, TASS reports.

“We cannot but use this visit to speak about bilateral relations and the most sensitive issues, namely Ukraine and Syria, and maybe some other regions”, Putin said.

Putin warmly welcomed the German delegation in his Sochi residence. “Thank you that you managed to come here and inform us about preparation of G20 meeting”, the Russian President said.

Merkel also agreed that it is necessary to discuss the urgent issues, mainly the situation in Ukraine, Syria and Libya.
