YEREVAN, MARCH 16, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Government approved the draft state support program for leasing of agricultural equipment, reports “Armenpress”.

Agriculture Minister Ignati Arakelyan said  over 90% of the operating agricultural machinery is being used for more than 20 years and they are already old.

The Minister said the analysis of the situation of the agricultural machinery showed that he average working level of machinery comprises over 79%.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said the Agriculture Ministry works so that maximal modern conditions are created for the agricultural development. “We must understand clearly that if we don’t solve technology, agricultural machinery related problems in our agriculture, we will not achieve real positive results. We clearly understand how we do it and secondly, we are not limited with 2.2 billion, if the number of those who want leasing will be many, we will definitely find a resource for them”, the PM said.

“After the approval of this decision by the Government, we need to work with the Governors in the provinces and assist the rural people with everything”, the PM stated.
