YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 21, ARMENPRESS. The defense ministry of Nagorno Karabakh denied Azerbaijani media reports on the Defense Army (NKR) opening fire on shepherds of the Ayagh Kervend village, Akna region, the defense ministry of Nagorno Karabakh told ARMENPRESS.

The ministry released a statement, saying: “The Azerbaijani media reports on NKR forces firing at shepherds of the Ayagh Kervend village, Akna region yesterday night is another disinformation.

The Defense Army never targets civilian objects and peaceful population. Moreover, The Defense Army forces are never in the role of the attacker, and open fire on Azerbaijani military positions only in case of strict necessity”.
