Armenia’s Transportation Minister discusses bilateral cooperation with his German counterpart

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 15, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan met Germany’s State Secretary Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure Norbert Barthle during his working visit in Germany, press service of the Ministry told “Armenpress”.

At the meeting issues of mutual interest in the fields of road construction, passenger transportation, digital infrastructure were discussed.

The Armenian Minister presented the state policy carried out in these fields and the current programs. The sides exchanged views on the German experience in the public-private sector cooperation format, the technical potential and the involvement of the German companies.

They also discussed the possibility of involvement of the German transportation operators on creating, managing and operating a common transportation system.

Norbert Barthle welcomed the initiatives of the Armenian side and assured that they will contribute to strengthening and developing the bilateral cooperation within their jurisdictions.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Vahan Martirosyan invited Norbert Barthle to Armenia, which was approved by the German official.
