Armenia’s humanitarian aid arrives in Latakia, Syria

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, ARMENPRESS. Armenia's Consul General in Aleppo Tigran Gevorgyan has received another batch of humanitarian aid sent by Armenia.

“Armenpress” reports the 18 tons of aid is intended for people hit by the Syrian crisis. There are notes on the packages reading “With warm peaceful wishes from Armenia to the fraternal people of Syria”.

Armenia sent another humanitarian aid cargo to Syria on February 14.

The aircraft, loaded with food products and other first-necessity items took off from Yerevan’s Erebuni airport and landed in Latakia, Syria.

Vigen Sargsyan, defense minister of Armenia, reminded reporters this is the second time humanitarian aid sent to Syria at the order of President Serzh Sargsyan. Armenia has sent a total of 40 tons aid to Syria so far.
