Turkish court takes decision to arrest leaders of pro-Kurdish party

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Co-chairs of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) of Turkey Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ were arrested on November 4, “Armenpress” reports, “Hurriyet” informs.
By the decision of the court MPs İdris Baluken, Nursel Aydoğan and Leyla Birlik were also arrested.
Three other party members of Turkish nationality who had been detained in the campaign for fighting terrorism were released on probation that included an overseas travel ban. The released MPs are Ziya Pir, İmam Taşçıer and Sırrı Süreyya Önder.
12 MPs representing the Peoples’ Democratic Party were arrested on November 3. They are accused of being members of terrorist groups and spreading terrorist propaganda.
