YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Government has not discussed and will not discuss the option of handing over the “Yerevan” TPP to “Gazprom” against debt, Minister of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan said in the Parliament, responding to MP Kokobelyan’s inquiry.

“Let me start by saying that currently Yerevan TPP’s debt to Gazprom Armenia comprises 35 million USD. The total debt was 52 million 300 thousand, however 17 million 300 thousand have already been paid. The Government has never discussed and isn’t discussing the option of alienating the Yerevan TPP against the debt”, the minister said.

The minister noted that there are several options which are at the stage of discussion regarding how the Government plans to pay the debt.
