New landfill to be constructed in Yerevan
19:08, 30 August 2016YEREVAN, AUGUST 30, ARMENPRESS. By Government decision 24.42 hectare state property will be taken back from “Hayantar” SNCO and be given to Yerevan Municipality for constructing a new landfill. “Armenpress” reports the draft decision about the mentioned is included in the Cabinet agenda of September 2.
The new landfill will correspond to the Council Directive 1999/31/EC of 26 April 1999 on the landfill of waste.
In addition, it is planned to dissolve the landfill in Ajapnyak district of Yerevan that came into existence spontaneously.
