New landfill to be constructed in Yerevan

YEREVAN, AUGUST 30, ARMENPRESS. By Government decision 24.42 hectare state property will be taken back from “Hayantar” SNCO and be given to Yerevan Municipality for constructing a new landfill. “Armenpress” reports the draft decision about the mentioned is included in the Cabinet agenda of September 2.

The new landfill will correspond to the Council Directive 1999/31/EC of 26 April 1999 on the landfill of waste.

In addition, it is planned to dissolve the landfill in Ajapnyak district of Yerevan that came into existence spontaneously.
