Iran, Turkey to discuss situation in Syria

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Ansari Jaberi visited Turkey on August 23.

He will discuss regional issues, in particular, the Syrian crisis with the Turkish officials, Tasnim new agency reports.

The diplomatic ties between the two states became more active when Turkey expressed its willingness to work with Iran and Russia on settling the Syrian crisis.

Earlier on August 18 Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has visited Tehran, and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif visited Turkey.

It is supposed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Iran in the first half of September.
