PM Spokesperson: Government does not approve NKR recognition bill at this stage

YEREVAN, MAY 5, ARMENPRESS. Spokesperson of the Prime Minister Gohar Poghosyan issued a clarification regarding numerous inquiries about the bill on recognizing Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

“The Government session today approved the conclusion on the “Recognizing Nagorno Karabakh Republic” bill, which was presented by two MPs. The conclusion clearly states that the Government will consider the adoption of the bill as a result of discussions between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, taking into account further developments, including external factors. Therefore, the Government has not approved the bill on recognizing the independence of Nagorno Karabakh at this stage”, Poghosyan posted via Facebook.
