Turkey failed to submit evidence on Russian jet violating its air space

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. The Turkish side has failed to submit evidence that before being downed the Russian Su-24 had violated the air space of that country. “Armenpress” reports, citing “Interfax”, Press Secretaryof the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov announced about this.

Peskov was asked in a meeting with journalists if the Turkish side has submitted any evidence on air space violation by the Russian jet. “No, first and foremost, we consider the reports by our military experts who are aware of all the parameters of the airplane flight”, Peskov said.

According to him, all those parameters demonstrate that the jet conducted the flight exceptionally inside the Syrian territory and was targeted in Syrian air space.

To the question if the Turkish side had made any official contacts with the Russian leadership to discuss the incident, Peskov answered, “There is no information about it yet”.

The Russian bomber was shot down over Syria by an air-to-air surface fired from a Turkish F-16 plane when the bomber was at an altitude of 6,000 meters at a distance of 1 km from the Turkishborder. The jet dropped 4 km away from the Turkish border.

According to President Putin, theSu-24 plane incident in is "a stab in Russia’s back” delivered by terrorist accomplices.
