Yerevan Deputy Police Chief: Police will operate exclusively within limits of law from now on

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. The Deputy Police Chief of Yerevan, Valery Osipyan, urged the members of “No robbery” initiative conducting a demonstration in Yerevan’s Liberty Square to refrain from attempts to lead people to Baghramyan Avenue. He mentioned that the Police have information that a provocateur will be among the gathered people who will call for moving to Baghramyan Avenue and the organizers of the demonstration will announce that they are fulfilling the wish of the people and are moving to Baghramyan Avenue.  “I urge you to refrain from illegal acts. The Police will no longer display tolerance and will operate exclusively within the limits of law. We urge you not to violate the law. The Police will prevent any such attempt”, “Armenpress” reports that the Yerevan Deputy Police Chief emphasized addressing the organizers of the demonstration.

Member of “No robbery” initiative Maksim Sargsyan assured that the citizens will not conduct illegal activities.

Dozens of people participate in the demonstration against the electricity tariff increase in Yerevan’s Liberty Square On September 11 evening.
