YEREVAN, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS. Turkey police officials were able to discover one of the persons who attacked the US consulate in Istanbul.

Armenpress reports, referring to “Milliyet” daily newspaper, that the police managed to neutralize the terrorist woman who was sheltering herself in a nearby house. Reportedly the woman was injured.

The streets near US consulate are closed. The police go on with searching houses to find the other attacker. Moreover, it has become known that the other attacker is also a woman.

On August 10 a gun attack targeted the US Consulate in Istanbul leading to an exchange of fire between assailants and security personnel. The reports said that one attacker was male and the other one was female, adding that the police was searching for the suspects.
