Armenia plans to introduce automated air defense system

 

YEREVAN, MAY 13, ARMENPRESS: Unmanned aerial vehicles are currently used in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, which help solving different problems. In the nearest future it is intended to establish an automated air defense system. The key rapporteur, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia, the Head of the Material and Technical Supply Department of the Defense Ministry Alik Mirzabekyan stated about it at the parliamentary hearings “Development prospects of innovative technologies in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia”, held at the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. 
Armenpress reports that Mirzabekyan stressed at the hearings, organized by the Standing Committee for Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia that today the Armenian Army is efficient and ready to implement any task with the least losses. Touching upon the issues related to the establishment and development of the military industry, Alik Mirzabekyan stated that in that direction of the arms’ ongoing and long-term programs of the Armed Forces, a complex development was carried out.
